You can buy and sell over 350 coins within your Apex Unity app. At the moment, Apex Unity offers some of the biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana. Be sure to do your research on the different types of cryptocurrencies before trading crypto, as each project may have its pros and cons to consider.
Apex Unity Crypto is only available in Belgium to eligible customers. Those customers will see Apex Unity Crypto under the Investments section located in the Finances tab of their app. Eligibility can change at any time, so check again in the future if you don’t see Apex Unity Crypto in your app yet.
The following limits apply to trading Crypto at Apex Unity:
Crypto transactions with Apex Unity are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Bitcoin and 2.5% for all other coins (deviations for special coins are possible). Fees and exchange rates for each purchase are displayed on the purchase and sell screens, so you can always review them before confirming a trade*.
Apex Unity Crypto is easy, so you don’t need to set up a wallet to trade crypto. You can trade directly in your Apex Unity app. All coins purchased with Apex Unity Crypto are safely stored in a custodial storage by our partner, Bitpanda Asset Management GmbH.
At the moment, it is not possible to send coins to or from other crypto wallets with Apex Unity Crypto.
All the crypto you buy on Apex Unity is stored in a cold offline storage managed by Bitpanda Asset Management GmbH. Bitpanda further ensures the security of users’ cryptocurrency by managing users’ private keys and safeguarding them from fraudsters. With that said, you should also do what you can to protect your Apex Unity account.
Crypto is subject to capital gains tax and can be subject to other taxes. The rules relating to taxation vary by member states and are constantly evolving, so do your research and understand the tax implications in Belgium before making your first trade.
